Around Here

We're done with FCAT! Can I get an AMEN!? Some other things we've been up to...
Which led us to study some great vocabulary words.
Of course we had to make cookies in honor of our favorite arachnid!
We set up a Poet Tree to showcase our skills.
We've also been checking up on our terrariums. They're doing fabulously!
It was a busy, but great week!

A day in pictures from our classroom.
Our science vocabulary parade (someone decided to do bunny ears, next time he will have to dress as a bunny!)
We've got the whole world in our hands! Recyclable art and Family Earth Day pledges.
T-Buck's terrarium. Can't wait to see how they turn out.

High Flying!

Thomas had a field trip of his own to the airport to tour some pretty cool planes with his Dad. Thanks for sending us a picture of your outing! We miss you!

What would Slim Say?

What organ system would he tell you that they lungs are located in? Or how about the heart or brain? We've been learning a lot about our body. Did you remember that cells make up tissue, and that tissue makes up organs, and that organs make up organ systems? What organ system interests you the most, and why?

The Professor and the Positive Word

Happy almost Spring Break to you all! We received a fascinating lecture on the planet of Townsendi this week from none other than Professor Townsend. He has worked super hard on the development of the alternate planet. His creativity and scientific thinking is admirable! We thank you for making us think deeper and scratch our head at times!

On another note, our dear friend and classmate Thomas is down at Shands. We are so proud of him, and are so happy to be in his life! His mom gave us the challenge of coming up with some positive words of encouragement, and some negative ones for him to shoot down (with his Nerf gun of course). We grabbed some thesauruses and took to the challenge. Here are some positive words to leave you with.

Happy Spring Break!!
